Dear Parent,

Returning to work after having a baby is a very stressful moment in life. Handing over your precious bundle to be cared for by another person can be hard.

Nursing moms face a special dilemma. The culture, doctors, research, and society sing in unison: “Breast is best”. But how do you keep nursing while working, and also grow your career?

Unless you’re running your own company, your only option is pumping, which is slow and ..akhm.. the opposite of fun. I was an engineer and manager at Google when I had my first baby in 2019. I was astonished at how my time at work “shrunk”: I carried a pump to work, pumped, kept the bottles in the fridge, then inevitably forgot the bottles, and had to head back to work late at night to pick up the “liquid gold”.

I was so exhausted I had to wean early.

If only there was a daycare “right here”. No pumping. No driving to pick up or drop off. You could take your child to lunch!

In 2022, I left Google to build Creche. We are targeting opening the first center in 2024. If you have a young child (0-5 yo), Creche is for you. Our motto is: “Bring your baby to work”. If we are not on your campus yet, ask your employer to reach out.

And PS. Creche was born during the pandemic, so we’re designing it from scratch to provide hospital-grade air filtration. The pandemic may be almost over, but viruses are here to stay.

Yours sincerely,

Founder
